Talk and Walk with a Doc
An outdoor wellness series – NEW for 2022!
As part of the Healthy Parks, Healthy People program, we invite you to join cardiologist Elissa Thompson, MD and a park ranger at Cape Cod National Seashore as they team up for a short talk focused on parks as cornerstones for human and environment health, followed by a short two-mile ranger-led trail walk.
Explore the benefits of nature and seasonal beauty on Cape Cod in this three-part series, which will be held in the spring, summer and fall, and may also include guest speakers! Topics will include exercise, nutrition, mindfulness and more, while the unique cultural and natural elements of the Cape's ecosystem will also be highlighted.
Talk and Walk with a Doc is FREE and open to the public. No registration is required and there is plenty of parking at the visitor center. Talks will be held at the amphitheater at the Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham (in the event of heavy rain, the talk will be moved indoors).
