Hello World is our new communications platform within the Epic electronic medical record system that serves as our gateway for sending two-way text/SMS and email messages to patients effective May 4, 2026.

With this update, text messages from Cape Cod Healthcare will transition to our new text message short code 240764.

Cape Cod Healthcare is excited to offer this valuable tool designed to enhance communication, convenience and access to important health care information for our patients. With Hello World, patients will be able to receive appointment reminders, billing updates, care notifications and other important information through a timely, secure, interactive and streamlined experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I start receiving text messages?

Patients who have been receiving text messages from Cape Cod Healthcare (CCHC) will automatically be opted in to the new texting service. Patients who do not currently receive CCHC texts and would like to begin must opt in to Hello World by texting START to 240764. Message and data rates may apply. Please see Cape Cod Healthcare's SMS terms and conditions for more information.

How do I stop receiving text messages?

To opt out of receiving text messages from CCHC, simply text STOP to 240764.

You may also opt out of receiving text and email messages via your MyChart account:

  • Log into MyChart and go to the main MyChart menu.
  • Scroll to Settings and select Communications Preferences.
  • Under the General section, toggle off text and email options under Settings and click Save Changes.

How do I update my mobile number for text messages?

To update your mobile number:

  • Log into MyChart and go to the main MyChart menu.
  • Scroll to Settings and select Personal Information.
  • Click Edit under Contact Information, update your mobile number and click Save Changes.

How do I update/verify what type of messages I receive?

To review and update the types of notifications you receive via text and email:

  • Log into MyChart and go to the main MyChart menu.
  • Scroll to Settings and select Communications Preferences.
  • Under Details, expand each notification topic (Appointments, Messages, Health, Billing, Questionnaires, Account Management, News and Announcements, Telehealth and To Do) with option to review Advanced Settings, select the method of communication by toggling the switch on or off, and click Save Changes.

I don’t have a MyChart account. How can I sign up for one so that I can manage my Communications Preferences for messages I receive?

To sign up for MyChart, simply fill out and submit the online form. For assistance, call (508) 957-8888. If you are a primary care patient with Medical Affiliates of Cape Cod, you can also contact your provider’s office for help or ask the front desk staff for assistance at your next appointment.
