Hidden Scar™ Breast Cancer Surgery [use logos for Hidden Scare Center of Excellence and Hidden Scar Certificate of Training]

Hidden Scar™ breast cancer surgery provides an option for patients which minimizes scarring and helps to preserve the natural breast shape, with the aim of maintaining a woman’s physical appearance and lessening the emotional impact of breast surgery. In Hidden Scar™ lumpectomy and mastectomy surgery, a single incision is made along the natural folds of the skin to remove tissue, sparing the nipple, areola and surrounding breast tissue. Cape Cod Healthcare was the first healthcare system in Massachusetts to offer this pioneering technique and is the only healthcare system in the state certified as a Hidden Scar Center of Excellence. Kathryn Dalton, DO, FACS, FACOS and Jill Oxley, MD, FACS are among the certified Hidden Scar surgeons in Massachusetts. [this last sentence copy may change pending Dr. Dalton]
