Midwives: ‘We love welcoming life into the world’ Midwives: ‘We love welcoming life into the world’

Women who choose a Cape Cod Healthcare Family Birthplace for delivery have the option to choose midwifery care before, during and after giving birth. Many women choose midwifery for its family-centered approach, dedication to education and promotion of normal pregnancy, labor and birth with medical intervention only when necessary.

Did you know that all Cape Cod Healthcare all midwives are nurses and are all certified by the American College of Nurse Midwives? It’s true!

What many people do not realize is that each of the midwives within CCHC had to have RN training first then went on to a master’s level degree to be a Certified Nurse Midwife. The members of the CCHC certified nurse-midwives staff all have advanced graduate degrees in healthcare nursing and collectively they have delivered over 10,000 babies.
