Cape Cod Healthcare’s skilled team of certified nurse-midwives (CNMs) provide women-centered care throughout the stages of a woman’s life, from adolescence through child-bearing years, menopause and beyond. Our midwives have received advanced training in nursing and midwifery, and are certified by the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
The “Specialists of Normal” at The Family Birthplace
Women who choose The Family Birthplace at Cape Cod Hospital have the option of midwifery care. Many women appreciate its family-centered approach, dedication to education and promotion of normal pregnancy, labor and birth, with medical intervention only when necessary.
Our certified nurse-midwives collaborate closely with obstetricians to fulfill our commitment to quality care for all mothers and babies. Your care team may include one or more medical specialists, CNMs and nurses – all dedicated to providing compassionate, skilled care while listening to a woman’s wishes for her birth experience.
