A Primary Care Physician (PCP) plays a critical role in the healthcare of you and your family, and is the first contact for many patients at Cape Cod Healthcare. Our expert primary care physicians are well-trained, skilled and experienced, providing coordinated care and treatment that is backed by the full resources and technology of the Cape Cod Healthcare system.
On the front line of care for our community
Whether you need an annual physical, aren’t feeling well, or are seeking treatment for symptoms, your PCP is your trusted health partner who understands your health history, maintains your medical record, helps manage medications and provides wellness education including recommended screenings. Regular visits with your PCP provide the best prevention and care for your healthcare needs.
Our patient-centered, preventive medicine approach supports empowerment, education and advocacy for all in matters of health. We offer different models of primary care through the Medical Affiliates of Cape Cod (MACC), a division of primary and specialty care physicians from Cape Cod Healthcare, from group practices to solo practitioners. Your care team is led by your PCP and may include highly skilled physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and support staff who coordinate optimal patient care, including referrals to the appropriate medical specialists, when necessary.
Cape Cod Healthcare’s specialists provide leading-edge treatments, using the latest in technology every day. Our expert physicians have the support and resources to give each patient personalized care, close to home. Our PCPs at MACC work collaboratively with Cape Cod Healthcare Hospitals, Emergency Centers and Urgent Care Centers to ensure patients have follow-up care after they leave these facilities.
