October 15 marks the official end of the first season of Healthy Parks, Healthy People, a walking program to promote health and wellness for year-round and seasonal residents, as well as visitors to the Cape. Healthy Parks, Healthy People is a partnership of Cape Cod National Seashore and Cape Cod Healthcare.
For many who participated, the walking program helped to foster healthy habits, encourage regular exercise and allow individuals to participate in health screenings that tracked their blood pressure and weight loss. Take a look at some of the amazing results from this season below:
