Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Cancer Care Collaborative Member

Cape Cod Hospital is a member of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Cancer Care Collaborative, having demonstrated a commitment to excellence and meeting a wide array of standards and best practices in adult oncology. This partnership streamlines access to consultations, specialty and support services, maintaining excellence in care and increasing collaborative services for our patients. These services include guided access to Dana-Farber cancer care specialists through Dana-Farber Direct Connect, second opinion clinics, network case conferences, physician trainings, virtual lectures, nursing support and education, and a clinical pathways tool providing an electronic road map of the best treatments currently available for each type of cancer and for every stage of disease. As part of the Cancer Care Collaborative, Cape Cod Hospital also offers select clinical trials from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, allowing qualified patients access close to home.

Cape Cod Healthcare (CCHC) is accredited as an Integrated Network Cancer Program by the Commission on Cancer, a program of the American College of Surgeons which awards this distinction to cancer programs for their commitment to comprehensive, high-quality and multidisciplinary patient-centered care. CCHC has been recognized for improving survival and quality of life for cancer patients through standard-setting, prevention, research, education and the monitoring of comprehensive quality care.
