Are You at Risk?

Estimate your risk for cardiovascular disease.

Determine Risk

Heart Disease is the No. 1 cause of death in the U.S., killing more women and men than all types of cancer combined. Prevention and expert treatment are our mission.

Cape Cod Healthcare's Heart and Vascular Institute, along with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), highlight education and awareness in the prevention of heart disease.

Women ages 40-60 are at particular risk for heart disease, but most don't consider it their greatest health risk. The Heart Truth campaign, sponsored by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of the NIH, provides a wealth of information to prevent women – and the people they love – from developing this dangerous disease.

To highlight awareness among women in our community, Cape Cod Healthcare is sponsoring “Show Us Your Heart” photo contest, in which we encourage people to share photos of women in their lives who inspire them to engage in a healthy lifestyle. Share photos on our Facebook page during February Heart Month for a chance to win a Vitamix® Blender.

Heart disease is largely preventable. Learn about risk factors, strategies to manage your heart health and learn more about Cape Cod Healthcare's Heart and Vascular Institute, which provides sophisticated cardiovascular care using the latest in technology, right here on Cape Cod.
