The Falmouth Hospital Auxiliary is a nonprofit volunteer organization whose purpose is to provide Falmouth Hospital with financial support to help ensure the best possible healthcare for the community.
What does the Auxiliary do?
Auxiliary volunteers manage and staff the Gift Shop and the Thrift Shop, two of the Auxiliary's most successful fundraising activities. Fundraising events throughout the year provide additional support to Falmouth Hospital for new facilities, programs and services. In addition, the Auxiliary awards annual scholarships to Falmouth students and hospital staff to support education in healthcare. All members are invited to attend the annual meeting and luncheon which features a guest speaker and a celebration of the year’s accomplishments.
The Thrift Shop features quality, gently used merchandise at a reasonable price. It is run by volunteers and is dependent on donations from the public. Air-conditioned with private dressing rooms, the shop offers clothing for men and women, household items, shoes, jewelry and more.
Location: 432 Palmer Ave, Falmouth (Corner of Jones Street and Palmer Avenue)
Hours: 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Tuesday - Saturday
Donations may be dropped off at the shop. It is recommended to call first to make sure they are accepting donations.
Volunteers are needed and greatly appreciated. It is a wonderful place to meet new friends and have fun while serving the hospital.
The Falmouth Hospital Gift Shop is entirely run by volunteers and supports the Auxiliary’s fundraising efforts. You’ll find great bargains on greeting cards, handmade quilts, and hand-knitted baby sweaters, novelty items and more.
