In response to our summer call for photos, you shared more than 80 snapshots of your four-legged (and some feathered and scaly) friends—and they couldn’t be cuter. From beach-loving pups and backyard adventurers to cuddly cats, playful kittens, horses, geese, and even a leopard gecko, the variety of pets that bring joy to our Cape Cod Healthcare community is truly heartwarming.

Loo, a 4-year-old Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix), loves the beach, snuggling and showing off tricks for treats. Shared by Jennifer, pharmacy tech.

Mini Bernedoodles Beau and Honey love the beach, tennis balls and anything peanut butter, shares Sean at Neurologists of Cape Cod.
Sage and Dalia: 12-week-old kittens who were abandoned at just three weeks old, bottle fed and are now thriving in their loving new home with Jennifer.
Dottie, a rescued Sebastopol goose, loves watermelon, peas and lettuce. She lives at a local animal rescue with other geese and ducks—and waits for her owner, Liz, to visit every day. Shared by Liz from Cuda Breast Care Center.
Freddie, a domestic short hair, goes by many names, including “Freddie Mercury, Freddie Munster, Freddie Confetti and Frederico Fellini,” says Lea, a practice manager.
“From the pound to a pillow top ... these two are living their best life,” says Kristen, a nurse at Falmouth Hospital. Brinkley is a puggle and Beckett is a golden. The two love to walk Scorton Creek and play in the backyard.
Meet Bentley – a 4-½-year-old Golden Retriever. “He was my daughter’s college dog (a classic COVID puppy). She brought him home for the summer … and I decided he’s not going back!” Shared by Susan in HR.

Bonnie, also known as “Bonster” and “Angel Baby,” is a Golden Retriever who is full of energy and loves to go for hikes through the woods and long walks — followed by a cozy nap on the bed, of course! Shared by Lauren in Marketing Communications.

Coco Chanel, or CC for short, is a Frenchie who loves other dogs. “CC is one of the sweetest dogs,” shares Christina, compliance program manager.
Cookie has traveled the world. She is a “Boonie” from Guam, but her trip to a loving home with Kari, an urgent care nurse manager, included stops to Hawaii, Seattle, Boston and now Cape Cod.

Cowboy, a Besenji / Beagle mix, is a rescue from Arkansas. “He brings us immeasurable joy!” Shared by Karen, administrative assistant at the VNA.
Dakota, a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix, loves to spend time on the beach—splashing in the water, having zoomies in the sand or striking her best ‘beach model’ pose. Shared by Lauren in Marketing Communications.
Dayo is a Siberian Huskey “who is chatting on the phone with his sister,” says Sharon in PCI.
Figgy and Misty are long-haired Chihuahuas with quickly and endlessly lovable personalities. “Life with a Chihuahua is anything but dull,” says Courtney in medical coding.
Bassett Hound Consuelo is the half-sister of Frida (next slide). Shared by Flavio at Seaside Pediatrics.
Basett Hound Frida is the half-sister of Consuelo (previous slide). “They will serve as ring bearers in my wedding in the Keys this October,” says Flavio, RN, at Seaside Pediatrics. “Frida is 2-½, and still hasn’t learned to bark,” adds Flavio.
Meet Gauge, a 4½-year-old chocolate lab who loves hunting adventures and his daily walks at the bog. Shared by Elizabeth, a nursing assistant.
Gemma, a 7-year-old Paint/Quarter Horse owned by Jean, a PT at Falmouth Hospital, is shown here at the New England Paint Horse Show in Deerfield, N.H. “She is smart, emotional, reactive and the most affectionate horse I’ve ever known,” says Jean.
Godiva, short hair domestic Tortoiseshell (aka Tortie), shared by Judi. “They say Tortie’s have Tortie-tude and have an opinion on everything, and Godiva definitely does,” says Judi. “But she is also the most affectionate, loving feline.”
Although Gunner and Penny are both French Bulldogs, they are quite different. Gunner has the personality of an old man and Penny is quite sassy, says Meg, an ambulatory clinical training supervisor.
Gus the Border Collie loves to herd the waves and play catch with the frisbee. Shared by Susan in Volunteer Services at Falmouth Hospital.
Gus the chinchilla is 5 years old. Owner Chelsea shares, “He loves to take dust baths and will try to trick you for a treat.”
Harry loves Cheez-Its. He is a bloodhound/coonhound mix from Arkansas with the softest ears. Shared by Karin in Accounts Receivable for the VNA.
Honey is a 3-year-old Siberian Huskey. “She is a sweet girl,” says Sharon in PCI.
Indie is a Lab mix rescue from Texas who loves to walk in the woods and enjoys meeting blood and platelet donors, says Jonathan, blood donor recruiter.
Izzy is shy with new people but has “quite the personality” with her family. Melissa, a SR BI developer, says that she is also very talkative.
Brothers Jack and Benny love to hunt mice and groom each other. Shared by Debbie, Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation.
Jax is a half Golden/ Labrador Retriever mix. “He finally put his ball down to take a picture,” shares Michael, a network engineer.

Laila the Boxer “has as much energy today at almost 10 years old as she did when she was 3,” says Steven, an inpatient pharmacy tech.
Buck is a lab hound mix who is very easy going and lovable. “His soulful eyes, unwavering loyalty and easy-going nature make him lovable beyond words,” says Lauren, RN, public health and wellness for the VNA.

Golden Retriever Maverick is full of fun. He loves swimming in the ocean and collecting rocks, shares Susan, LPN.
Standard Poodle Mia is almost 5. Shared by Denise in Oncology who says, “She would love to come to work with me every day.” She came into Denise’s life around the same time her son went off to college.
Mia (on ottoman) is a 6-year-old cuddle queen. Murphy, a 10-year-old Labradoodle mix, is a gentle giant. And Coal, the 4-year-old terrier mix in the back, is the speedy “ah-roo-roo” talker who makes sure no one else gets pets without him! All are loved by Glenn, ambulatory case manager.

This is Norman, an 8-year-old German Shepherd who loves couch time and being spoiled—while proudly taking his “job” of alerting the whole neighborhood to passersby very seriously. Shared by Steven, security officer at CCH.
Ollie, a 4-year-old Sheltie, loves tennis balls and is extremely loyal to his family, shares dietician Lauren.

Golden Retriever Rocky loves to swim and play ball. “He's never met a person who didn’t instantly fall in love with him,” says Kate.
Rudie, a Great Pyrenees–Goldendoodle mix, is known for her playful jumps, sneaky snack stealing and love of standing out in the cold for hours. Shared by Mitchell in IT.
Ruger is a German Shepard who loves to follow you everywhere you go. He also loves to play fetch. Shared by Alicia, an exercise physiologist.
Sampson and Princess Iris are off on an adventure. Both are lab mutts and rescues, says Pat in coding integrity and education.
Sasha is a 6-year-old Yorkie. Owner Sharon shares, “She is my best lil friend and my sidekick.”
Scooch is a 2-year-old French Bulldog. “He was born on the Fourth of July and has never met a tennis ball he didn't like,” says owner Carolyn.

Tango is a Maine Coon cat who weighs about 20 pounds and rules the roost. “His fur is like cashmere, and he loves cat treats,” says Debbie.

Three-year-old Willey is “the most lovable pup I've ever owned,” says Donna, senior medical staff coordinator. The cream mini dachshund weighs 11 pounds and loves all dogs and humans alike.
Meet Willow, a Shetland Sheepdog who’s double the size of a typical Sheltie—often mistaken for Lassie! She loves her floral harness so much that she runs to the mirror to admire herself whenever she puts it on.
