Start Your Engines! CCH Revs Up for Seaside Le Mans

Start Your Engines! CCH Revs Up for Seaside Le MansThe Rapid Responders team: Dr. Michael Hall, Dr. Nate Rudman, Kristin Murray, Dana Medeiros, Dr. Peter Bosco and Kristen Tavares (seated).

If you were in the crowd at Seaside Le Mans on Sept. 10, you may have mistaken Nathan Rudman, MD, for Vin Diesel as he whizzed around the track, in fast and furious style, inside a Formula One racing kart.

Dr. Rudman and his staff from the Cape Cod Hospital Emergency Center represented Cape Cod Healthcare in Seaside Le Mans—The Race for the Cape Cod Community. The fast-paced annual event features European-style racing karts driven by local sponsors on a quarter-mile track around Mashpee Commons. The Rapid Responders six-person team completed 260 laps in around four hours. Cape Cod Healthcare had a strong presence not only on the track, but off the track as well, as it hosted the medical tent staffed with an urgent care team.

The 2022 beneficiaries of Seaside Le Mans include Cape Cod Healthcare, Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, Calmer Choice, Cape Cod Children’s Museum and the Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center.

After the event, The Cape Cod Foundation presented an oversized check for $100,000 to Chris Lawson, Senior Vice President & Chief Development Officer at Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation. The funds will help support youth behavioral health programs.

Over the past 21 years, Seaside Le Mans has raised more than $9 million for Cape Cod nonprofit organizations.
