Karin A. Sloan, MD

VP, Value Based Care and Chief Medical Officer, Physician Hospital Organization Officer

Karin Sloan, MD, was appointed VP of Value Based Care and Chief Medical Officer of the Cape Cod Healthcare Physician Hospital Organization in 2025. Dr. Sloan is a practicing pulmonologist who joined Cape Cod Healthcare in 2024 as Medical Director of the Physician Hospital Organization. In her leadership role, she is responsible for leading our approach to performing well in value-based arrangements by implementing strategies to deliver patient-centered, coordinated, cost-effective care with excellent quality outcomes. She is focused on clinical integration with the Cape Cod Preferred Physicians network.

Prior to joining Cape Cod Healthcare, Dr. Sloan was the Associate Medical Director and Chief of Quality and Safety for the Ambulatory Division of South Shore Health. Prior to that she served as the Director of Clinical Quality for the Department of Medicine at Boston Medical Center/Boston University School of Medicine.

Dr. Sloan attended Dartmouth College and Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire. She completed her internal medicine residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut and fellowship in pulmonary and clinical care at Boston University Medical Center.
