CCHC Cardiovascular - Excellence in cardiac care.
We're taking good care of your heart.
Cape Cod Healthcare has developed a strong reputation for excellence in cardiac care. Cape Cod Hospital was rated #1 in Massachusetts by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for the likelihood of a patient surviving at least 30 days after a heart attack. The federal agency also rated the hospital as one of just 17 other hospitals around the country with outcomes that were better than national averages for 30-day heart attack mortality rates.
Cape Cod Hospital, in partnership with Brigham and Women’s Hospital, launched its open heart surgery program in 2002. Since then, more than 1,800 cardiac surgery procedures have been done at the hospital.
Cape Cod Hospital is also approved to do both elective and emergency percutaneous coronary interventions (formerly known as angioplasties) and has built a world-class cardiac care team over the years.
