Four-Day Road Closure At Cape Cod Hospital

Due to the delivery and installation of steel frames for an addition to the Cape Cod Hospital Intensive Care Unit, a portion of Park Street will be closed from Wednesday, Dec. 19, through Saturday, Dec. 22. The road will reopen to all through traffic on Sunday, Dec. 23.
The four-day closure, which was approved by Barnstable Town officials, police, fire and EMS authorities, will affect the portion of the road from 8 Park Street to 34 Park Street.
Two different cranes, one of which rises to 140 feet tall, will be used during this time period to make various placements of the steel frames.
Incoming ambulance traffic will use Bayview Street to access the CCH Emergency Center. Outgoing ambulances will depart via Gleason Street, as always.
Patient access to the Infectious Disease Clinical Services department at 34 Park Street will be unaffected during the closure dates. Patients will be notified by phone prior to their appointment about what to expect in the road closure area.
