March Blood Drives

(Hyannis - March 12, 2012)

Cape Cod Hospital Blood Donor Services will be at the following blood drives this month:

• Tuesday, March 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mass Maritime Academy in Buzzards Bay 
• Thursday, March 15, from 12 to 6 p.m. at Cape Cod Hospital’s Lorusso Board Room in Hyannis
• Friday, March 16, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cape Cod Hospital’s Lorusso Board Room
• Tuesday, March 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Shepley Wood Products, 216 Thornton Drive in Hyannis
• Wednesday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cape Cod Community College gymnasium in Barnstable
• Friday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cape Cod Healthcare Financial Services, 25 Communication Way in Hyannis
• Tuesday, March 27, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Barnstable High School in Hyannis, for students and staff only
• Wednesday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.at Mashpee Library

All the blood collected at the blood drives stays here to be used at Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital. Blood products are used for elective and emergency surgery, anemia, bleeding disorders and for massive blood loss due to trauma. About one in every seven people entering a hospital is in need of blood, so it is imperative that CCHC maintain a well-stocked blood bank.
