Cape Cod Healthcare launches new Physician Finder

Cape Cod Healthcare is pleased to announce a new online physician finder that makes it easier than ever for residents and visitors to find a physician. The new Cape Cod Healthcare Physician Finder is faster, easier and more versatile, with numerous search capabilities.

Visitors to the Physician Finder will be able to:

• Navigate more easily and more smoothly
• Print pages, sections or the entire directory
• Search by name, specialty, symptom, geographic area
• Find out which physicians are bilingual
• Learn the clinical interests of physicians
• View physician videos
• Find maps and driving directions
• Use a mobile version on your cell phone or tablet

“Those who have used the online Physician Finder in the past will be pleased to find that the site is a much more effective tool, with greater ease of use and responsiveness, and a more robust collection of information about our Cape Cod Healthcare physicians,” said Jan Aubrey, RN, CCHC Director of Physician Outreach/Referral.

Visitors to the CCHC Physician Finder home page will immediately find three main options:

• Find a primary care physician accepting new patients
• Meet our patients – watch videos of patients relating the rewarding experiences they have had with our physicians
• Meet our newest physicians – a new feature of our physician directory service

One of the most attractive features of the CCHC Physician Finder is its ability to narrow down searches in a variety of ways. If someone is experiencing symptoms for a gastrointestinal concern, for instance, they can type in their symptom and find gastroenterologists within the CCHC system. Geographic searches are also possible. If you would like to narrow your search to a town or a Cape region, for instance, you are able to type it in and the Finder will pull up all physicians within that area. The geographic search can be further narrowed down by medical specialty.

The print-on-demand feature is quite useful for primary care physicians who are referring patients to specialists. The specialist can be called up on the Finder and the single page with the physician’s name, address and contact number and more can be printed and given to the patient for reference. The print-on-demand can also be customized in many different ways.

For our patients who are most comfortable speaking in another language, they can customize their search for physicians who are bilingual.
