THE PROGRAM
Cardiac Rehabilitation is a comprehensive exercise and education program designed to help the individual with cardiovascular disease and his family to make the life style changes necessary to improve cardiovascular health.
PROGRAM COMPONENTS
Entire series is 36 sessions.
EXERCISE
Group exercise sessions meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Falmouth Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation gym.
Each session consists of a warm-up, conditioning and cool down phase using stationary bikes, treadmills, rowing machines, arm exercises and hand weights.
EKG telemetry monitoring during exercise is provided.
Supervised by Exercise Specialist/Physiologist and experienced Cardiac Nurse.

COUNSELING
Counseling is available on an individual basis by professional staff pertaining to risk factor modification.
ELIGIBILITY
COST
- There is a fee for service
- Fee includes exercise sessions, educational materials, and risk factor modification counseling.
- Most health insurance companies will cover a certain percentage of the cost.
- You are encouraged to clarify coverage with your insurance carrier prior to admission.
