Falmouth Hospital Honored Nationally for Stroke Care

Falmouth Hospital and Cape Cod Hospital were each been recognized for their excellent stroke care. Falmouth Hospital received the American Stroke Association's “Get With the Guidelines” Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award and Cape Cod Hospital received the Silver Plus Performance Achievement Award for their strict adherence to practices that best treat and prevent this potentially fatal condition.

Falmouth Hospital recently received the Defect-free Care Award from the Stroke Collaborative Reaching for Excellence (SCORE), a voluntary statewide quality improvement collaborative administered by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH), that supports Primary Stroke Service hospitals. Defect-free care is achieved when every patient receives the appropriate care based on clinical guidelines.
