Cape Cod Healthcare earned a combined 104 Quality and Patient Safety Awards, according to the latest data from The Delta Group, a leading health care information services company. Among the awards, Cape Cod Hospital ranks first in Massachusetts in Overall Hospital Care, Overall Surgical Care, General Surgery, Interventional Coronary Care, Hip Fracture Repair and Gastrointestinal Care. Falmouth Hospital ranks first in the state in Overall Medical Care and Neurological Care. The distinctions place the hospitals in the top 10 percent of hospitals in the nation in their respective categories.

In addition to the top rankings in Massachusetts, the two Cape Cod Healthcare hospitals were acknowledged for other areas of care in the Medical Excellence category. Cape Cod Hospital ranks among the top 10 percent of hospitals in the country in Overall Medical Care, Cancer Care, Orthopedic Care, Major Orthopedic Surgery and Gastrointestinal Hemorrhage. Falmouth Hospital is among the top 10 percent in the nation in Gastrointestinal Hemorrhage, Hip Fracture Repair, Neurological Care, Pneumonia Care, Pulmonary Care and Stroke Care.

In the Patient Safety category, CCH produces outcomes that rank among the top 10 percent in the nation in Overall Hospital Care, Overall Surgical Care, Cancer Care, Gastrointestinal Care, General Surgery, Hip Fracture Repair, Major Bowel Procedures, Major Orthopedic Surgery, Stroke Care, Vascular Surgery and Women's Health. In this category, FH is among the top 10 percent in the country in Cancer Care, Neurological Care, Gastrointestinal Hemorrhage, Hip Fracture Repair, Trauma Care and Women's Health.
