Swinging without Pain

As a dentist, George Kerkorian, DDS, knows how important his shoulder mobility is when it comes to treating patients. So when he injured his left shoulder while playing golf, George immediately made an appointment with Donald O’Malley, MD, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician on staff at Falmouth Hospital.

“My MRI showed that I had bone spurs and torn ligaments and tendons,” George says. “I tried to work through the pain with steroids, but I knew I needed something more.” In August of 2004, Dr. O’Malley repaired George’s shoulder arthroscopically and sent him home two hours later. After only three weeks of recovery, the father of five was back to work at Falmouth Dental Associates.

“The entire arthroscopic procedure was fantastic for me,” George says. “I would recommend it to anyone with this type of pain.”
