A Healthier Outlook

The only thing Jef Cole regrets about his left hip replacement surgery was the timing. The surgery was performed by Paul Dimond, MD, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon on staff at Falmouth Hospital.

“I should have had the surgery done about five years earlier,” Jef says. “I didn’t realize what a huge improvement it would make on my life.”

Almost 15 years ago, Jef‘s pelvis was shattered in a serious car accident. As a result, both hips were replaced with prosthetics designed to last only about 10 years.

“The pain became overwhelming, but doctors told me it wasn’t related to my hips,” Jef remembers. “Then I saw Dr. Dimond, and he recommended I have my left hip replaced last winter.”

Jef was so pleased with the result of his left hip replacement that he had his right hip replaced by Dr. Dimond in early May. “Anyone who needs surgery like this should get it done,” Cole says. “It was a completely positive experience.”
