Do you have a wound that won’t heal? An infection, disease or lack of oxygen can disrupt your body’s normal wound recovery process. If your wound hasn’t healed by 30 to 40 percent in a month, you may need extra care. Cape Cod Healthcare provides specialized wound healing services for a wide range of needs.

Our specially trained wound care physicians and nurses use a team approach to your care, following evidence-based protocols for healing wounds. We excel in evaluating and treating all types of wounds, including:

  • Ischemic/arterial ulcers
  • Neuropathic wounds
  • Peripheral artery insufficiency
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Post-operative complications
  • Radiation injury
  • Skin grafts and flaps
  • Surgical wounds
  • Trauma wounds
  • Venous stasis ulcers

Advanced Wound Care

Our Wound Care Center offers advanced care for wounds, including state-of-the-art hyperbaric oxygen therapy—one of the most advanced treatments available for healing wounds. Patients who receive this therapy breathe pure oxygen in an enclosed chamber, which helps increase blood oxygen levels and promote growth of blood vessels in damaged tissues.

Our certified wound care nurses are specially trained to assess and treat wounds following treatment plans developed by a physician. For patients who are homebound, nurses with Cape Cod Healthcare’s Visiting Nurses Association travel from Plymouth to Provincetown to offer in-home care.

CCHC Wound Care Services utilizes a multi-disciplinary team approach and follows a comprehensive clinical pathway for healing wounds.
