Falmouth Hospital Pain Center

Dr. Adam Brown, a physician of Cape Cod Healthcare, the parent company of Falmouth Hospital, treats patients at the Falmouth Hospital Outpatient Surgical Center. Dr. Brown is a doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO), a physician licensed to practice medicine, perform surgery and prescribe medication. Like all allopathic physicians (MDs), osteopathic physicians complete four years of medical school and receive specialty training during residencies and fellowships, in order to practice in any specialty in medicine.

How to Become a Patient

To become a patient of the Falmouth Hospital Pain Center, your medical provider should fax a consult request to 508-563-3926 asking Dr. Brown to participate in your care. The request should include:

  • The reason for the consult
  • All notes pertaining to your pain
  • All imaging records
  • All previous treatment for your pain
  • Past and present medical and surgical information
  • Medication and allergy list.

After this information is received, the office will call you to schedule a new patient consult appointment. A new patient consult is typically scheduled two to three weeks after receipt of the information.

Please bring the following to your first appointment:

  • A picture ID
  • Insurance cards
  • Completed new patient packet (mailed to you at the time your appointment is scheduled)
  • Any additional medical records you may have

When you come to the Falmouth Hospital Pain Center, you will have a thorough evaluation and physical examination. Dr. Brown will review your medical history and pertinent medical information, including studies such as MRIs or X-rays. He will discuss treatment options and make recommendations for pain management. Sedation is not routinely offered.
