Cape Cod Hospital Volunteering
Be a part of Cape Cod Tradition...Volunteer at Cape Cod
Hospital Like the original
group of concerned citizens who began our community hospital in 1919, our
volunteers continue a tradition that binds us together as a family. In addition
to the sense of accomplishment and personal gratification that volunteering at
Cape Cod Hospital provides, there is also the opportunity to learn new skills,
meet new people, contribute to the community, and to learn about current health
care issues.
Cape Cod Hospital has over 450 volunteers, ranging in age from 13 to 94.
Everyone - patients, staff and the community - benefits from the contributions of
our volunteers.

Student Volunteer
Programs Students,
13-17 years of age, are encouraged to volunteer at Cape Cod Hospital.
Volunteering at a hospital is most beneficial for those considering a career in
healthcare.
The summer months offer the best opportunity for teenagers to become
involved. Not only can one offer volunteer service, but also a student will be
able to spend observation time in various areas.
During the school year there is the possibility that you could volunteer
during the school day and receive credit for your volunteer time. This is done
through the SCHOOL TO CAREER initiative. Check to see if your high school is
involved in this program.
As a student volunteer, you could work with departments such as nursing,
radiology, pathology, food and nutrition, and clerical areas.
