Visiting
Hours Rest is an important part of your treatment. We also believe
that family and friends are an integral part of the care-giving and recovery
process. While we do not restrict visiting hours, there may be times when we
will have to limit visits or ask visitors to temporarily leave the room. The
person sharing your room may also require special consideration.
Some general guidelines for visits:
Shorter visits are better (15-20 minutes).
It is usually best if visitors do not come in the morning because that is
when most clinical procedures, diagnostic test, medical and nursing rounds
occur.
In consideration for roommates, we ask that no more than two visitors at a
time visit each patient.
Evening rounds by a physician vary a great deal and are held after office
hours in the early evening.
Please limit visits with infants and small children due to the high risk
of infection to the patient.
Visiting Hours in maternity are limited to 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and in
pediatrics from 1:00 p.m. where to 8:00 p.m. No children are allowed except
siblings.
