Cape Hospitals Earn National Patient Safety Recognition

Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital have earned a national distinction for excellence in patient safety, as documented in national patient safety measures. The two hospitals received an “A,” the highest grade available, in The Leapfrog Group’s patient safety rating program. More than 2,600 hospitals across the United States were issued a Hospital Safety Score, when the results were announced earlier this year. The Hospital Safety Score grades hospitals on how safe they are for patients. Each score, ranging from A to F, is derived from expert analysis of publicly available data on rates of infections, injuries and errors. The scores for each hospital are available at www.HospitalSafetyScore.org
