Cape Cod Healthcare Presents Healthy Aging & Wellness Program

Cape Cod Hospital’s Outpatient Rehabilitation Department will offer a 6-week Senior Healthy Aging and Wellness class beginning Tuesday, March 17. Classes will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Hyannis Youth & Community Center, 141 Basset Lane, Hyannis.

The Cape Cod Healthcare Healthy Aging and Wellness program is designed to educate and guide you to better fitness and overall health.  Classes will be led by a Certified Athletic Trainer.  Each class will begin with wellness education, followed by a guided warm-up, a self-paced walking session and a guided cool-down and stretch.  Your instructor will track your progress throughout the course using before and after screenings, providing you with measurable results of your improving health.

  • Proper Footwear
  • Vital Signs
  • Healthy Eating
  • Stress Management
  • Benefits of Exercise with Arthritis
  • Posture/Body Mechanics
  • Common Injuries
  • Hearth Health
  • Exercise for Life

The cost of the class is $84 per person for the 12 sessions. Participants must be members of the Hyannis Youth & Community Center, and membership can be easily arranged, if needed.
