Cape Cod Healthcare Celebrates World Breastfeeding Month
The Cape Cod Healthcare Family Birthplace is celebrating World Breastfeeding Month with an event on Thursday, August 21, 2014, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Lorusso Board Room at Cape Cod Hospital. The event is free and all mothers, fathers and babies on Cape Cod are welcome.
Cape Cod Healthcare Family Birthplace providers will share information about the importance of breastfeeding to babies and mothers, and will be available to answer your breastfeeding questions and give helpful tips. Providers scheduled to speak are Cape Cod Hospital Pediatric Hospitalist Teresa J. Reid, MD; Certified Nurse Midwife Jodi Belson, CNM; and Lactation Consultant Heather Lakatos, IBCLC.
Come to the event to learn about the health and well-being breastfeeding provides for babies and their mothers, and meet other breastfeeding families. Light refreshments will be available. The Lorusso Board Room is located on the ground floor of the Mugar Patient Town at Cape Cod Hospital.

The Falmouth Hospital Breastfeeding Support Group celebrated World Breastfeeding Month on August 5, with a cake, balloons and milkshakes. The support group welcomes all nursing moms to share tips, questions and support.
