Dr. Dan Loberman Joins Cape Cod Hospital Cardiac Surgery Team
Cape Cod Healthcare is pleased to announce the appointment of Cardiac Surgeon Dan Loberman, MD, to the Cardiac Surgery team at Cape Cod Hospital (CCH). Dr. Loberman joins Cardiac Surgery Chief Paul Pirundini, MD, as the second permanent Cardiac Surgeon at CCH.
Dr. Loberman, who started at CCH on Dec. 2, completed a surgical fellowship at Harvard Medical School, a Congenital Cardiac Surgery fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital, and a Transcatheter Interventions fellowship at Brigham & Women’s Hospital. He has been published in many peer-reviewed publications on the subject of Cardiac Surgery, and has presented at more than a dozen professional meetings and conferences in the U.S. and Israel over the last 12 years.
Dr. Loberman completed his residency in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Tel-Aviv Medical Center and a second residency in Congenital and Adult Cardiac Surgery at Sheba Medical Center. While working in Israel, Dr. Loberman was a clinical instructor in Surgery at Tel-Aviv University.
The Cape Cod Hospital Cardiac Surgery program has been affiliated with Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) since its inception in 2002. Going forward, Dr. Pirundini and Dr. Loberman will care for the majority of Cardiac Surgery cases at Cape Cod Hospital. They will continue to work closely with BWH Cardiac Surgeons through joint conferences and quality improvement measures.
