CCHC Medical Building Named for Oppenheims
Cape Cod Healthcare is pleased to announce that its new medical office building at 1629 Main Street in Chatham will be named the Oppenheim Medical Building. The name honors David and Gail Oppenheim of Chatham, who are generously donating the building to CCHC so we can bring top-quality healthcare services to Chatham and the Lower/Outer Cape.
The 9,000-square-foot building will house primary care practices, CCHC Physical Therapy and a C-Lab service center, which will be open Monday-Friday. The Oppenheim Medical Building is scheduled to open on Tuesday, April 16.
"We met with community leaders over several months to determine the medical services that are needed in Chatham and the surrounding area. The new Oppenheim Building is a result of those discussions," said Michael Lauf, President and CEO, CCHC. "Once we determined that primary care, physical therapy and lab services were needed in town, David Oppenheim offered us his expertise and assistance with finding the right facility. He and Gail have made it possible for us to demonstrate in yet another way our commitment to provide high-quality, accessible, patient-friendly and efficient care to the Cape Cod community."
Cape Cod Healthcare worked with the Oppenheims and town officials over the last year to make the medical facility a reality. The Oppenheims and CCHC recognized the need for more primary care services, a laboratory blood drawing facility and physical therapy services.
"We are proud to be involved in bringing more accessible healthcare to Chatham and the surrounding area," commented David Oppenheim. "Our partnership with Cape Cod Healthcare started in 2002 when we followed the lead of the late Ray Fontaine by making a gift to what became Fontaine Medical Center. Our relationship with Fontaine and CCHC has grown since that time and we are pleased to be part of what is a win-win for West Chatham, as well as the entire community."
