Olympian Runner at CCHC Falmouth Road Race Expo Booth

July 2012

Cape Cod Healthcare is pleased to announce that three-time Olympian Craig Virgin will meet with runners and visitors at the CCHC booth at the New Balance Falmouth Road Race from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10. The Expo will be held at the Falmouth High School Field House, 874 Gifford Street, on Aug. 9, 10 and 11.

In addition to running in three Olympics, Virgin won the Falmouth Road Race in 1979, is a two-time world cross country champion, a national distance running Hall of Famer and is a seven-time U.S. record holder in road and track.

As the Official Medical Care Provider of the New Balance Falmouth Road Race, CCHC will feature a large booth at the Expo at Falmouth High School. The Expo will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Aug. 9, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Aug. 10, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 11.

Another Expo highlight will be the interactive display and demonstrations with the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System. The da Vinci System brings the latest in minimally invasive surgical procedures to Cape Cod Hospital, an affiliate of CCHC.

Also featured at the Expo booth will be CCHC Rehabilitation Services demonstrations and screenings, CCHC Orthopedics where experts can answer joint replacement surgery questions, and Visiting Nurse Association of Cape Cod blood pressure checks.

The New Balance Falmouth Road Race will be held on Sunday, Aug. 12. As part of our official partnership with the race, CCHC will fully manage and staff the three medical tents and first aid stations along the race course and at the finish line. There will be an additional medical area on the ball field this year to tend to any issues that may arise for spectators or runners.
