MEET DAVID WEINTRAUB
The Healthy Parks, Healthy People program is indebted to David Weintraub, author of Walking the Cape and Islands. Indeed, David has walked every step of Cape Cod National Seashore’s trails many times, meticulously documenting their features, degree of difficulty and the diversity of flora and fauna along the way.
The descriptions of the five designated Healthy Parks, Healthy People trails are all David’s. He is a writer, photographer and educator based in South Carolina and Cape Cod. Among his other books is Adventure Kayaking: Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard. David’s articles and photographs have appeared in the American Bar Association Journal, Audubon, Backpacker, Entrepreneur, Forbes, Hemispheres, Sierra, Smithsonian and Sunset magazines.
David is an avid walker, birder and kayaker. You can visit him at https://davidweintraubblog.wordpress.com/blog/
You can purchase Walking the Cape and Islands online at Amazon.com and locally at the Eastern National bookstore at Salt Pond Visitor Center and Province Lands Visitor Center.
